Laura Jackson is a Registered Physiotherapist who prides herself in helping patients control their pain, heal their tissues, and move better. Whether you’re striving to return to sport, prevent injury or optimize daily functioning, Laura can help your reach your goals.
Laura graduated with a Master of Science from McMaster University in 2015. She previously studied Neuroscience and graduated with Highest Honours in 2009. Laura also has enjoyed a career in case management for Brain Injury Rehabilitation. She continues to enjoy working with concussion patients.
Laura distinguishes herself by taking a full body approach to assessments. It is common for her to find a “aha” moment where one part of the body reveals dysfunction which is ultimately the cause of pain. She has a strong knowledge of movement patterns to prevent and treat injuries.
Laura often travels to Toronto for continued education. She is working on Level 3b of Manual Therapy training, which builds on soft tissue mobilization to ensure optimal joint function. She is also certified in IMS Dry Needling and as found this to be integral to reset the nervous system when treating both acute and chronic pain.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys ‘supervising’ renovations with her husband and progressing her infant son through his motor milestones. “Keep on rollin’, baby”.
