Emilie Samson,
Registered Massage Therapist

Diploma - Massage Therapy, SCM (Sports Candidate Member)

Emilie graduated from Georgian College’s Accredited Massage Therapy Advanced Diploma Program in 2020. As a Registered Massage Therapist, she has a deep understanding of the nuances of therapeutic massage and its potential to enhance overall well-being. Her dedication to delivering tailored treatments that address the unique needs of each patient is central to her approach. She is adept at utilizing a wide range of massage techniques, including Swedish, Fascial Techniques, Myofascial release, Trigger Point Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Remedial Exercise, Cupping, and more to achieve optimal results for her clients.

Emilie has a deep passion for Sports Massage and is currently pursuing her Sports Massage designation through the Canadian Sports Massage Therapist Association. As an athlete, Emilie understands the importance of proper body mechanics for optimal performance. She always considers recovery time and injury prevention in her treatments. The last thing an athlete wants is to be sidelined for an entire season. While some injuries can be severe enough to require extended recovery time, her goal is to help athletes return to play as quickly, and safely, as possible.

Emilie is also a non-emergency First Responder and has been actively involved in multiple sports in our community. She has provided emergency aid at sporting events for Judo, Wrestling, Rugby, as well as Dragon Boat Racing throughout the last year at Resolution. She hopes to spend more time helping the sporting community in general and is always open to trying new things.

In her spare time, Emilie enjoys participating in the sport of Judo – She is actively working toward her Shodan (1st Degree black belt). She has been practicing the sport for over 12 years and would love nothing more than to join the rank of Shodan. She is also an avid snowboarder, enjoying the slopes after a long day's work in the winter.
